The UK at Berlinale 2021

Features, shorts and exhibitions

Nine UK titles have been selected to screen in the 2021 edition of the Berlinale. Three of these have been awarded Special Gala slots – Kevin Macdonald’s The Mauritanian starring Jodie Foster, Tahar Rahim and Shailene Woodley; Tina Turner biopic Tina from Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin and produced by documentary double Oscar®-winner Simon Chinn; and Lina Roessler’s Canadian/UK co-production Best Sellers, starring UK legend Michael Caine alongside Aubrey Plaza and Scott Speedman.

Jim Cummings and PJ McCabe’s The Beta Test will play in the Encounters strand, and screening in the Panorama section will be Censor, the much-lauded horror from Prano Bailey-Bond, fresh from its Sundance success.
